Bleach : Hidden Secret Behind "Bankai" - Part 1

The “Bankai” (or Final Release of a zanpakto) in Bleach is the foundation of the fighting and power structure of Tite Kubo’s classic anime/manga series, Bleach. Bankai is the most powerful representation of the Soul Reaper’s(Shinigami) weapon, the Zanpakutō and it is the highest level of the training, soul, and combat ability of a Soul Reaper.

Before achieving Bankai, understanding Soul Reaper’s own weapon:

As per Bleach anime every zanpakutō starts as an asauchi, a blank, nameless sword made by Ōetsu Nimaiya of squad zero. The soul reaper pours his reiatsu, his soul, and everything he is into this sword for years, eventually giving the sword a unique identity, a name, and a spirit.

Shikai (Initial Release)- Attained when a wielder cannot only identify their Zanpakutō Spirits but also have communicated with said spirits to produce a completely new shape for themselves.

Bankai (Final Release) is considered to be a final evolution or stage of a soul reaper.To attain Bankai, the wielder must first learn to let the spirit of his Zanpakutō appear outside of the spiritual realm and subdue it through fighting. It constitutes the full and complete bonding between the sword and its master.

The overall strength of the Zanpakuto once it has been released.

When a Bankai is released, it provides an extraordinary strength to its users. Yoruichi Shihôin stated at the beginning of the series that most Bankais tend to make a Soul Reaper five to ten times more powerful in combat than what they would be when using their Shikai. The cost associated with having so much energy available through Bankai however, is extremely high because of the large amount of spiritual energy needed to keep the Bankai activated results in most Soul Reapers not being able to sustain their Bankai for a long period of time before they are completely exhausted.

In the past, a Bankai was typically not achieved in less than 10 years after attaining a Shikai, and even then, it took extremely difficult training and fighting to develop it. It is because of this huge difficulty that achieving a Bankai is a very strict requirement for being appointed Captain of Gotei 13 (with the lone, historical, exception of Kenpachi Zaraki, who achieved his position through traditional dueling (fight to the death).

Kisuke Urahara created a tricky way of doing things; he made a practice doll that makes the sword spirit come out, and makes the process of dominion take only three days. Both Urahara and Ichigo Kurosaki did this, but it’s really dangerous because you could basically destroy your soul if you mess up.

The Cardinal Rule: A Broken Bankai

In the bleach anime ,during the Thousand-Year Blood War, Captain Mayuri Kurotsuchi (captain of the 12th division) discovers the shocking truth of a Zanpakuto. According to Mayuri, possessing a bankai that’s completely ruined isn’t such a bad thing at all. According to him, a bankai that has broken in battle can never be fixed. There are instances where a fractured Shikai will not recover entirely. Nevertheless, some exceptions exist. Captain mayuri is a genius scientist. He treats everything as his test subject also living beings.He is also known as a mad scientist.

The Evolution and Truth of Bankai Of Any Zanpakto:

represents a character’s power, although it is not just a power-up rather that it becomes more like a deep exploration of identity.

Partial Form vs. True Bankai:

Because in this episode we see that a soul reaper has their own zanpakutō spirit which is actually a complete being. If that spirit disrespects you, or is otherwise inspired to think you’re not in a position to manage it properly, it’ll give you a false name or only part of its true authority. It is sort of a test, or perhaps an ass-covering passive-aggressive move from the sword itself.

Renji Abarai: Throughout the majority of the series Renji uses Hihiō Zabimaru (Baboon King). Too bad in the Thousand Year Blood War arc Squad Zero states that Zabimaru only gave a portion of its name to Renji. After that, Renji revealed his true Bankai known as Sōō Zabimaru (Twin Kings), more powerful, compact, and versatile than you will.

The greatest epiphany comes for a Soul Reaper, where they realize that the Zanpakutō is not attached like an accessory — it is part of their soul. Ichigo learns from Oetsu Nimaiya from sword zero, that there is no “sword and wielder.” The moment Ichigo realised the truth, that “The Blade is Me,”and he led to the creation of his true Zanpakutō which no longer experienced the internal conflict.

Part III. An Entire Record Of Significant Bankai :

Bleach really shines through with its design of Bankai Styles; there are so many creative and making designs for bankai with elemental styles (nature), Biological Horror Styles and Abstract Styles.

1.Ichigo Kurosaki: Tensa Zangetsu (Heaven Chain Slaying Moon) Ichigo has an Original Bankai in the beginning, with a Bankai that compresses all of his immense spiritual pressure and concentrates it into a thin Black Cutting Daito (Longsword), unlike most other Traditional Bankai that are oversized in form.

Ability:The compression grants Ichigo hyper-speed and allows his physical movements to catch up with his immense reflexes.True

True Bankai:It was made after accepting his two bloodlines (Quincy and Hollow/Soul Reaper),True Bankai is two swords (one white and one black) that combine into one large jagged sword. It is unclear what the True Bankai’s special abilities are, but it has enormous destructive potential that even Yhwach fears.

2.Genryūsai Yamamoto: Zanka no Tachi(The Blade of flame):

The Captain-Commander has the most dangerous and oldest Zanpakutō that can be found in the Soul Society. When he releases his Bankai, all of the fire that he created with his Shikai goes into the sword, and the sword looks like a white, burnt-out katana.

The four directions that use this Bankai:

Eat (Kokujitsujin)- All of the heat gets concentrated on the edge of thesword.If thesword cuts an objectwith heatatthe edge ofthe sword, it will simply eliminate the object and disappear.

Zanjitsu Gokui (West): Yamamoto is surrounded by flames at 15 million degrees Celsius (the temperature of the sun’s core), and no one can get near him.

Kaka Jūmyōban Kan’eigasō (South): He creates undead soldiers from the burned out skeletons of everyone he has ever killed

Tenchi Kaijin (North):He creates a single and focused slash of fire that completely destroys his target

3.Byakuya Kuchiki(Senbonzakura Kageyoshi) : Byakuya throws his sword down to the ground and immediately two rows of giant blades rise out behind him. The two rows of blades break apart into one hundred million tiny blade fragments, and they reflect light so they look like a gigantic tidal wave of cherry blossoms that are pink Senkei (Slaughterscape): All of the petals are pushed into this huge ball-shaped area full of lighted swords, and the enemy is trapped inside of it.

Everything is focused totally on attacking Gookei (Mawscape): The petals form a circle completely around the enemy and destroy the middle. There are no holes in the circle. Shukei: Hakuteiken (Endscape: White Emperor Sword): the petals create a very bright sword and also angel wings. This is the last attack and it is very strong.
